What is the MOM maid levy rate in Singapore for 2026?
As of 2026, the standard MOM Foreign Worker Levy in Singapore is $300 per month for the first helper and $450 per month for subsequent helpers.
Employers qualifying for the concessionary rate pay a reduced fee of $60 per month.
Who qualifies for the $60/month Concessionary Levy?
Young Child Scheme: Singapore citizen children aged below 16 living at the same address.
Aged Person Scheme: Elderly Singapore citizen family members aged 67 or above.

Transferring an existing domestic helper in Singapore takes approximately 7 to 14 days.
The process requires written release consent from the current employer, issuing a fresh $5,000 security bond, securing new medical insurance ($60k coverage), and submitting an MOM Work Permit application.
Does a transfer maid need to complete the Settling-In Programme (SIP)?
No. Experienced transfer helpers who have previously worked in Singapore are exempt from the mandatory Settling-In Programme (SIP).
SIP is only required for first-time domestic helpers arriving directly from overseas.
